E. Renee (Dexheimer) Homolka of Carrollton, formerly of Hillsboro, passed away on November 12, 2025, at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield. A gifted pianist and guitar player, Renee found pleasure throughout her life in music as well as reading, gardening, working in her yard, and do-it-yourself projects around her home. Renee was also a bit of a family historian and archivist with an appreciation for antiques and heirlooms. She also formed many friendships that enriched her life, many of which lasted for decades. Renee is survived by her daughter Megan (Joe) Clark of Greenfield, a brother Joel (Jennifer) Lohr of Jerseyville, a sister Roleda Pfeiffer of Mt. Olive, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Per her wishes, private graveside services will be conducted at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Randy's Rescue Ranch (RRR Sanctuary) or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
