Dorothy Huber

Dorothy Huber, 88, of Litchfield, passed away Sun., Jan. 28, 2018 at 12:58 p.m. in HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.  She was born on Aug. 23, 1929 in East Alton, IL, a daughter of August William & Della Pearl (Sorrels) Huber.  She never married.  Over the years, she was a homemaker, a home caregiver and she also took care of her parents for many years.  Dorothy was a member of Holy Family Parish in Litchfield.  In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading.  She is survived by:

   2 sisters, Juanita Deets of Oregon

                  Marian Huber of Litchfield

   Several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Richard W. Huber; Edward A. Huber & Claude Huber; 2 sisters, Louise Knowles & Hallie Smith. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be said Thurs. Feb. 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church in Litchfield.  Fr. Dan Willenborg will preside.  Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.  Visitation will be held Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service.  The family suggests memorials to Holy Family Catholic Church.
