Donna Brachear

Donna Mae Brachear, 88, of Harrisburg, formerly of Farmersville, passed away on Mon., Dec. 6, 2021 at 5:05 a.m. at Harrisburg Medical Center.  She was born on Dec. 10, 1932, in Litchfield, IL, a daughter of Durward and Mary Louise (Stevenson) Balsley.  Donna graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1950.  She married Howard Lynn Brachear on Feb. 10, 1951 in Litchfield.  He preceded her in death on Apr. 15, 2021.  Donna was an Office Clerk for the State of Illinois – Secretary of State.  In her earlier years, she worked at Berry Nursing Homes and Mike Buscher Lumber Co.  Donna enjoyed crocheting and fishing.  She is survived by:

1 son, Ron Brachear of Harrisburg

1 daughter, Becky (Monty) Clark of Mt. Vernon

9 grandchildren, Ryan Mattingly; Renee (Craig) Beck; Risa (Trent) Legg; Katie Perry; Billie Jo Edwards; Cody (Kindra) Clark; Brad (Linza) Brachear; Blake (Jenny) Brachear; Brett (Brandi) Brachear

18 great-grandchildren

In addition to her husband Howard, Donna was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held on Sat., Dec. 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.  Rev. Trent Legg will officiate.  Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery in Raymond.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be designated to Shriners Hospital for Children.
