Donald "Grover" R. Clelland

Donald Ray “Grover” Clelland, 64, of Litchfield, passed away on Wed., Oct. 20, 2021 in his home.  He was born on Oct. 5, 1957, in Litchfield, IL, a son of James Jameson Clelland, Jr and Ellen (Watts) Clelland.  He graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1975.  Don then went on to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and received a degree in Geography.  Don worked at the Defense Mapping Agency in St. Louis, Missouri.  He had also worked for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and did carpentry work.  He was a member of Union Avenue Christian Church in Litchfield.  Don enjoyed fishing, baseball, gardening, and attracting birds to his yard.  He is survived by:

1 brother, David Clelland of Glen Carbon, IL

2 sisters, Gail (Rick) Piggott of Long Grove, IL

                 Linda Dyer of Litchfield

He was preceded in death by his father, James Clelland, Jr.; 2 brothers, Steve Clelland; James Clelland, III.

Funeral service will be held on Sun., Oct. 24, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.  Rev. Cassie Sexton-Riggs of Union Avenue Christian Church in Litchfield will officiate.  Cremation will follow the services, and interment will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.  Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be designated to Union Avenue Christian Church.
