Donald E. Wagner

Don Eugene Wagner 85, of Mt. Olive, passed away Wednesday February 10, 2021 in his home surrounded by loved ones.  He was born June 23, 1935 in Pocahontas IL, a son of Clarence and Lorraine (Hall) Wagner. Mr. Wagner worked at AO Smith for 26 years, owned a cab company in Collinsville, and a Construction Laborer retiring in 2001.  He married Jeannette Maples on June 26, 1954 in Greenville.  They later divorced.  His 2nd marriage was to Wanda Budd of Litchfield on May 16, 2002.  She survives.   Don enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids.  He especially enjoyed his time at the farm and helping the boys on their projects in the warmer months.  Don enjoyed watching the Cardinals and traveling in their motorhome to the south in the winter with Wanda and their dog Pebbles.  Don was a member of the Meadow Heights Baptist church in Collinsville.  Don will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.  In addition to his wife, Wanda, he is survived by:

Don was preceded in death by his parents; Sisters, Marjorie Wilkins, Marilyn Shoalte; Brothers, Albert Wagner, Walter Wagner, Howard Wagner, Herbert Wagner; Daughter, Carla Sullivan

Private family graveside services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021 at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.  Rev. Skyler Elmer of Christian Church of Litchfield will officiate.  A public celebration of life will be held at a later date.   Memorials may be designated to American Cancer Society.
