Diana Lynn Budd Parsons, 73, of Litchfield, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023. She was born May 4, 1950, a daughter of Alfred Richard and Elsie Lorraine (Ealey) Budd. Diana graduated from Gillespie High School with the Class of 1969, and attended Lincoln Land Community College. She and David D. Parsons were married May 22, 1993 in Litchfield. He survives. Diana was employed at Schutt Sports Group for 23 years, and for several years was the office administrator at the Christian Church of Litchfield. She was an excellent cook, and enjoyed gardening, doing crafts, and going to gospel sings. She enjoyed being involved in the Easter pageant at Meramec Caverns, where she played the part of Mary. In addition to her husband, Diana is survived by:
2 sons, Tony (Lanette) Geninatti, Jr., of Benson, NC; and Collin (Marsha) Geninatti of Salem, MO
1 daughter, Cassie (Greg) Holder of Raymond, IL
3 brothers, Donald Budd of Channahon, IL; Bill (Marilyn) Budd of Sherman, IL; and Wayne Budd of Litchfield, IL
1 sister, Wanda Wagner of Mt. Olive, IL
6 grandchildren, Lee Dean; Chad Dean; Chasity Dean; Dakota (Savhanna) Fenton; Alyson Holder; and Steven Holder.
1 great-grandchild, C.J. Dean; and one on the way
Several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Diana was preceded in death by a brother, John Budd; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Eugene Perrine; a sister-in-law, Linda Budd.
Funeral services for Diana will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at the Christian Church of Litchfield, located at 131 Yaeger Lake Trail. Rev. Steve Revisky and Rev. Tim Barbee will co-officiate. Visitation will be at the church from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be made to the Christian Church of Litchfield or Hearts United.
