Dennis Wilson, Jr. Obituary

Dennis Wayne Wilson, Jr., 45, of Litchfield, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 31, 2026. Born in Litchfield to Dennis Wayne Wilson, Sr. and Linda Carol (Jones) Wilson, Dennis was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend whose presence brought laughter, strength, and kindness to those around him. He was known for his hardworking nature, generous heart, and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever someone needed it. Dennis spent his career working with his hands, taking great pride in his craft as a welder with Pittsburgh Pipe. He had previously worked at Worksaver in Litchfield and as a cook. As a proud member of the Boilermakers Union, he valued hard work, dedication, and the friendships he built throughout his career.

Above all else, Dennis loved his family. On July 7, 2007, he married the love of his life, Kathryn Alexandria Lowder, in Tunnel Hill, Georgia. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Kathryn survives. Dennis was a proud father to his sons, Alexander (Sommer) Scott Wilson and Elijah Wayne Wilson, both of Litchfield. He took great joy in watching his boys grow and was always ready with advice, encouragement, or a joke to make them smile. When he wasn't working, Dennis enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and camping, competing in darts and bowling, cooking meals for family and friends, and creating things through welding. He found happiness in simple moments—gathering with loved ones, sharing stories, and making people laugh. His sense of humor, loyalty, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Dennis is also survived by his siblings, Lonnie Street, Ira (Crissy) Wilson, Buryl Wilson, and Kathy (Jeff) Wilson, all of Litchfield, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Though his time with us was far too short, Dennis leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to family. He will be remembered not only for what he did, but for who he was—a man who loved deeply, worked tirelessly, and brought warmth and laughter wherever he went.
