Dennis Dale Quinn

Dennis Dale Quinn, 73, of Litchfield, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at 7:04 p.m., at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois. He was born October 10, 1949, a son of Dale Edward and Betty Louise (Randle) Quinn. Mr. Quinn graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1967. He and the former Andrea Frances Kiers were married on August 28, 1971, at the First Christian Church in Virden, IL. She survives. Mr. Quinn was employed as a coal miner for Monterey Coal Company in Carlinville, IL. He was also employed on the pipeline during the construction in this area, Tru-Weld, International Paper Company, and the Illinois State Library in the book binding department.  He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America and Shoal Creek Muzzle Loaders. Mr. Quinn enjoyed shooting archery, woodworking, weightlifting, sports and enjoyed listening to music, especially Dave Mason. He was a dedicated grandfather and enjoyed following his grandchildren’s various activities.

In addition to his wife, Andrea, Mr. Quinn is survived by:

2 sons, Jason Quinn of Pontiac, IL; and Justin (Keon Conerly) of Champaign, IL

1 brother, Kelly Quinn of Portland, OR

2 sisters, Lois (David) Ziegler; and Rebecca (George) Mehochko, all of Litchfield

3 grandchildren, Jared Quinn, Jacob Quinn and Keatin Conerly-Quinn

and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mr. Quinn was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents Edward and Elsie (Hughes) Quinn and Maynard and Evelyn (Corrington) Randle; his brothers, Randle Quinn and Timothy Quinn; his great-nephew, Joseph "Joey" Quinn; and his great-niece, Rylee Quinn.

Memorial services for Mr. Quinn will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2023 at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Allen Hughes will officiate. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
