David Hearn

David Hearn, 86, of Honey Bend, IL, passed away Fri., May 31, 2019 at 7:09 a.m. in his home.  He was born on July 13, 1932 in Foley, MO, the son of Daniel Webster & Margaret Irene (Ramsour) Hearn.  Over the years, he was self-employed as an auto body repairman and had worked for Blatter Motor Sales in Litchfield and Hannon’s Motors in Raymond.  He married Shirley Lou Mabus on Sept. 1, 1951 in Carlinville, IL.  She preceded him in death on Nov. 19, 2003.  He enjoyed gardening, listening to old country music and traveling. He especially enjoyed talking and cutting up with folks.  Dave’s pastimes included buying & repairing/restoring motorcycles and doing woodwork.  He is survived by:

   2 sons,            Richard Hearn of Gillespie

                           Roger (Lynn) Hearn of Litchfield

   2 daughters,    Davaline (Lee) Davis of Litchfield

                           Annette (Steve) Frerichs of Algonquin

   2 sisters,         Shirley Newby of Carlinville

                           Billie Westwood of Gillespie

   8 grandchildren,       Christy Holliday; Tiffany (Willie) May; Robby Hearn; David (Michelle) Hearn;

                                    Andrea Hearn & companion, J.R. Levore; Alexandra, Michael & Zachary Frerichs

   8 great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; 4 sisters, Jeanette Hayes, Helen VanWinkle, Virginia Macher & Doris Boatman.

Funeral services will be held Mon., June 3, 2019 at 12 p.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.  Burial will be in Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend.  Visitation will be held Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service.  The family suggests memorials to Alexandra Frerichs Benefit, “Angels For Alex.”
