Darrell Martin Jett, 71, of Donnellson, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. at his residence.
Born in Litchfield, a son of Pearl Leonard & Betty Elizabeth (Plummer) Jett, Sr. He married Frances Ann Ceglinski, on May 14, 1983 in Mulberry Grove. Darrell worked construction under the Labor Local 1084 in Hillsboro. Mr. Jett enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and traveling with his wife, Frances, who survives.
In addition to his wife, Darrell is survived by his son, Darrell (Danielle) Jett, Jr. of Hillsboro, step-sons, Don Ray of Hillsboro and James Ray of Coffeen, and his daughter, Valerie Jett, of Greenville. His brother Dallas (Judy) Jett of Hillsboro, half-brother, David (Carol) Hankins of Litchfield, his sisters, Deanna (Ricky) Brewer of Panama, Faye (Bob) Compton of Panama, & half-sister, Peggy (Sam) Osburn of Thompsonville, IL. Darrell’s grandchildren, Anne (Alex) Jett Wentzel, Katlynn (John) Rickman, Kyle (Jaylie) Jett, Isiah Roberts, Ashan (Diehdre) Gibbs, Mitchell Ray, Jordan (Claire) Ray, Austin Ray, James Ray, Bridget Ray, Cheyenne Patterson, Axton Cleeton, & Harper Cleeton, along with several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Preceding Darrell in death: his parents, his brothers, P.J. Jett and Maynard Jett, his sister, Linda Ingle, & his daughter, Anne Marie Jett.
Services for Mr. Jett will be announced at a later date. Plummer Funeral Services of Litchfield is assisting the family.
The family suggests memorials be directed to Frances Jett.
