Cynthia Jean (Benton) Aubuchon

Cynthia Jean (Benton) Aubuchon, 62, of Carlinville, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Carlinville Area Hospital in Carlinville. She was born on October 11, 1963, in Alton, IL, a daughter of Eugene E. and Dessie L. (Webb) Benton. Cynthia graduated from Litchfield High School and then went on to obtain her associate’s degree from Lincoln Land Community College. She married Thomas Aubuchon and they later divorced. A deep lover of music, Cynthia found great joy in the soulful sounds of Janis Joplin and was a huge vinyl record collector. She was an avid Cardinal’s baseball fan and enjoyed gardening. Above all, her greatest happiness came from spending time with her cherished family and friends. She is survived by:

5 grandchildren, Levi Nowell, Jr., Erik Rabich, Jr., Jesse Denby, Edan Aubuchon, & Finley Eliason

Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, and nephew, Tyler Benton.

A Celebration of Life for Cynthia will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at Gudgel Ranch Saloon with live music. (14265 E. 2nd Road, Litchfield, IL).
