Constance Marie (Peterson) Knaggs

Constance Marie (Peterson) Knaggs went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 25, 2024. Ms. Knaggs, better known as Connie, was born April 23, 1928, in New Douglas, IL to Freeland E. Peterson and Bessie Belle (Daniels) Peterson. Connie worked at Brown Shoe Company for 10 years & Consumers Plastic and International Paper for 32 years before retiring in 1991. She was previously married to Edward (Eddie) Knaggs (divorced) when together they had two children, Carol Bruhn (Dale) of Litchfield, IL and Ron Knaggs of Staunton, IL.

She is survived by four grandchildren, Cara Bruhn-Greenville, IL, Derrick Bruhn (Lynne)-Monticello, IL, Michaelle Adams (Brian) Perkasie, PA, Jaron Knaggs (Elaine) Aurora, CO. Ms. Knaggs has seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Luther Peterson, Eugene Peterson, Rollin Peterson, John Peterson and great grandchild Morley Bruhn. Connie was a lifelong resident of Litchfield, loved worshiping with her church family at New Hope Baptist Church, fishing, playing bingo, shopping, and watching Cardinal baseball games.

Visitation will be at Plummer Funeral Services, Litchfield, on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 10:00 am - Noon. The funeral will follow at Plummer Funeral Services at Noon, with burial at Elmwood Cemetery, Litchfield.  Rev. Roy Eller of New Hope Baptist Church will officiate.  Memorials can be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 1303 N. 18th Avenue, Litchfield, IL 62056 - for Kitchen designation OR The Montgomery County Cancer Association, 106 Pinnacle Point Drive, Hillsboro, IL 62049.
