Claudette Lorene Jett, 77, of Litchfield, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021 at 9:15 p.m. in her home, after a battle with cancer. She was born on February 4, 1944 in Decatur, IL., a daughter of Claude V. and Martha M. (Tyler) Jeffers. She worked in several factories in Litchfield until her retirement. She married Larry Maynard Jett on September 2, 1961 and he survives. Claudette attended South Side Baptist Church in Litchfield. She enjoyed going thrift shopping, doing crafts, mushroom hunting and visiting with family and friends. She enjoyed music so much that she wrote a gospel song, “I Can” and had it published. In addition to her husband, Claudette is survived by:

Claudette was preceded in death by; her parents; 2 brothers, Andrew and Johnny Jeffers; 3 sisters, Patricia Jansen, Marliee Jeffers, and Cecelia Tyler; 1 grandson, Anthony Rolland
