Catherine R. Porter

DUE TO THE CURRENT HEALTH CRISIS, CATHERINE'S MEMORIAL SERVICE HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO A LATER DATE.

Catherine Ruth Porter, 70, of Litchfield, passed away on Sat., March 21, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. in her home.  She was born on April 27, 1949, in Litchfield, IL, a daughter of George Zachary and Rosemary Vaughn (Long) Neldon.  Catherine graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1967.  She went on to Lincoln Land Community College and graduated with her Associate’s Degree in Nursing.  She was a Registered Nurse at Friendship Home in Carlinville until her retirement.  Catherine enjoyed reading and watching movies.  She is survived by:

1 daughter,      Joanna Gasperson of Litchfield

1 brother,         Paul (Paula) Dutton of Palm Bay, FL

3 sisters,          Mary Jo (Ernie) Tooley of Litchfield

                         Janis Hand of Virginia, IL

                         Lori Pahde of Virginia, IL

2 grandchildren, Drake & Alexandria Gasperson

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services for Catherine will be announced at a later date.
