Carol M. Greenwalt

Carol Marie Greenwalt, 87, of Litchfield passed away Monday, June 29, 2020 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.  She was born December 31, 1932 in Litchfield, IL, a daughter of George Albert and Inez Augusto (Caldwell) Pryor.  She graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1950.  Carol married Glenn Dale Greenwalt on August 21, 1951 at the First Methodist Church in Litchfield.  He preceded her in death on August 17, 2008.    In her younger years, she worked as a clerk at Yungck Medical supply for 10 years.  Carol spent the majority of her life as a Homemaker.  She was a member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Litchfield, where she taught primary Sunday School for over 20 years.  Carol liked taking nature walks, doing puzzles and reading.  She especially loved spending time with her family and her animals very much.  She is survived by:

1 daughter, Anne Greenwalt of Grovetown, GA

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn; 2 sisters, Betty Miller and Barbara Harms.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.  Rev. Jake Wetterlin will officiate.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home.  The family suggests memorials be made to St. Timothy United Methodist Church or Montgomery County PAWS Care.
