Beverly Walch

Beverly Ann Walch, 78, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 6:03 p.m. at Bridgecare Suites in Springfield. She was born on April 14, 1948, in Springfield, IL, a daughter of Eugene Samuel and Irene Eva (Chastain) Stone. Beverly graduated from Pleasant Plains High School with the Class of 1966. She married Richard Eugene Walch on June 22, 1974, at Raymond United Methodist Church in Raymond. He preceded her in death on August 4, 2025. Beverly attended West Side Christian Church in Springfield where she enjoyed attending ladies Bible study. She was a good cook and enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. and Canada with her husband, Richard.

Son, Christopher Heather of Springfield, IL

Brother, Phil (Nancy) Stone of Springfield, IL

In addition to her husband, Richard, Beverly was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside funeral services for Beverly will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Morrisonville Cemetery in Morrisonville at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Gary Schwab will officiate. Memorials may be directed to Central Illinois Food Bank in Springfield, IL or West Side Christian Church in Springfield.
