Beverly June (Yemm) Nail

Beverly June Nail, 87, of Litchfield, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022 at 6:39 a.m. at Timber Creek Village in Litchfield.

Born October 12, 1934.  The daughter of Howard Taft and Lola Mae (Voyles) Yemm.   She graduated from Litchfield High School in 1952.

She married Earl Leroy Nail on August 9, 1959 in Litchfield.  Mr. Nail passed away September 13, 2008. 

Mrs. Nail was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Litchfield, and along with her late husband, Earl, served in their church temples located in Chicago and St. Louis.  She enjoyed cooking, canning and doing genealogy work. She was a member of the Maxine Club and Home Extension.  Mrs. Nail enjoyed being a parent and grandparent.  She was a counselor for the Rape Crisis Center for Montgomery County. Mr. and Mrs. Nail opened their home to wayward adolescents, helping those down on their luck in life to find a new path, helping them turn their lives around.

Mrs. Nail is survived by two daughters; Diane (Steve) Gausepohl of Mt. Olive, Shera (Mark) Hunt of Litchfield and a son Greg Nail of Litchfield.

Grandchildren: Jason (Lynelle) Horrocks of Granbury, TX ; Ashley (Brandon) Layton of Lehi, UT; Austin (Jacqueline) Horrocks of China Springs, TX ; Madison Helgen of Hillsboro, IL ; Brayden Helgen of Litchfield, IL; Landon Helgen of Raymond, IL; LolaMarie Nail of Sunland, CA; Shannon (Juan) Arrospide of Los Angeles, CA; Rachel (Travis) Boatman of San Tan Valley, AZ; Danielle Nail of Sunland, CA; Wendy Nail of Mesa, AZ; Becca Nail of Sunland, CA

10 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Nail is preceded in death by her parents, a son Dennis E. Nail and a granddaughter, Cassie Horrocks.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nail will be conducted Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Litchfield with Lon E. Bruce presiding. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield.  Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:30 until the time of service at the church.   The family suggest memorials to Adopt-A-Pet of Benld or Hearts United of Litchfield.
