Betty J. Zimmerman

Betty Jean Zimmerman, 95, of Litchfield, passed away on Mon., Dec. 6, 2021 at 1:15 a.m. at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.  She was born on Aug. 24, 1926, in Wichita Falls, TX, a daughter of Clyde Horton and Ruby (Tucker) McDaniel. 

After graduation, Betty attended Eastern Illinois University and received her Teacher Certification.  Betty taught for the Litchfield Community School District #12 for several years.  She married Robert Edward Zimmerman on Nov. 11, 1948, in Shreveport, LA.  He preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1982.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Litchfield, and the Litchfield Country Club.  She loved to travel.  Betty is survived by:

1 sister, Pat Clark of Billings, MT
2 grandchildren, Thea (Henry) Teufel-Hall of Bradenton, FL; Kali Teufel of Dallas, TX

In addition to her husband Robert, Betty was preceded in death by her parents; 1 daughter, Zoe Teufel, 1 brother, Clyde McDaniel, Jr.

No services are being held.  Cremation rites will be accorded.
