Betty M. (Williams) Klump, 92, passed away on September 16, at 10:25 p.m. at her home in Hillsboro, IL. A private graveside service will be at Wares Grove Cemetery, Butler, IL, with the Rev. Fred Kraemer, Pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, in Litchfield, IL, officiating. Plummer Funeral Home, with whom cremation rights were ordered, are in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Klump was born on January 21, 1933, in Hillsboro, IL to Charles and Bertha (Sellers) Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother, and her beloved husband, Bill. Mrs. Klump was a member of the Hillsboro High School Class of 1951. She married William C. Klump on February 21, 1951, in Hillsboro, IL. Mrs. Klump and her husband owned and operated the Red & White general store in Butler, IL. She was a dedicated housewife; worked at the Hillsboro Glass Factory in Hillsboro, IL; and later co-managed a house cleaning service with her sister-in-law until her retirement. She lived in Butler, IL, and Hillsboro, IL, during her lifetime. Mrs. Klump was a 47-year member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, IL, after which she became a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, IL, in 1998 until her passing.
Mrs. Klump is survived by her four sons, Steven (Lynn) Klump of Bloomington, IL; Phil (Tracey) Klump of Sun City, AZ; Mike (Sandy) Klump of Hillsboro, IL; and her sole caregiver Kevin Klump of Hillsboro, IL; ten grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church, Litchfield, IL.
