Annelda Minnie Gordon, 89, of Hillsboro, formerly of Litchfield, passed away on Mon., Aug. 10, 2020 at 11:21 a.m. in Montgomery County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on October 22, 1930, in Hornsby, IL, a daughter of Henry Louis and Anna Louisa (Pluhm) Niehaus. She graduated from Gillespie High School. Annelda married Charles Melvin Gordon on June 16, 1951 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Litchfield. He preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1996. Annelda candled eggs at Anderson’s Egg Plant in Litchfield, and was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Annelda enjoyed traveling with her husband Charles. She is survived by:
1 daughter, Diane White of Irving
2 grandchildren, Heather (Kyle) Nestler of Pleasant Plains
Leslie (Shawn) Murray of Irving
5 great-grandchildren, Faith, Brianna, & Sarah Nestler
Connor & Paige Roemelin
Annelda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; son-in-law, Dean White; 1 brother, Marvin Niehaus; 1 sister, Lorelda Weatherford; 1 great-grandson, Dylan Roemelin.
Private graveside memorial services for Annelda will be held Friday, August 21, 2020.
