Andrew Alec Rosentreter, 58, of Hillsboro, passed away on Tues., June 25, 2019 at 9:42 p.m. He was born on Dec. 6, 1960, in Carlinville, IL, the son of Norman Alexander & Mary Viola (Walton) Rosentreter. Andrew graduated from Hillsboro High School with the Class of 1978. He attended Lincoln Land Community College and graduated with an Associates Degree. Andrew was self-employed at Rosentreter Insurance Agency as an Insurance Agent. He married the former Dawn Marie (Abel) Elliott on Aug. 9, 2014 in Butler. He was a follower of the Catholic Faith. Andrew was a member of Rising Sun Martial Arts. He was a former member of the Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Dept and a former EMT for Hillsboro Ambulance Service. He enjoyed making jewelry and cut glass art. Andrew enjoyed yard work & gardening, fishing, and his pets. He loved to do wine tasting. In addition to his wife Dawn, he is survived by:

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers-in-law, Lyndal Herschelman & Marty Sutherland; 2 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sat., June 29, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Rev. Jon Magnuson of Beacon Church in Litchfield will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services. Memorials can be directed to the family of Andrew Rosentreter c/o Dawn Rosentreter. The family requests casual attire for services.
