Amber Nichole (Garst) Roston

Amber Nichole Roston, 45, of Springfield, formerly of Litchfield, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at her residence. She was born on December 16, 1976, a daughter of Alvin Eugene and Candace Sue (Prior) Garst. Amber graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1995 and obtained her Associates of Nursing degree from Lewis and Clark Community College. During her career, Amber was employed by the State of Illinois as a registered nurse and as a waitress at Olive Garden in Springfield.  She and Fuzell L. Roston were married in Edwardsville, IL on December 17, 2010. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2019. Amber enjoyed being with her family and shopping. She dearly loved her Maltese fur babies Maddy and Lucky.

Amber is survived by:

Her parents, Alvin and Candace Garst of Eagerville.

Her sons, Stephen White of Benld; Jared (Madison Shaw) White of Midway Park, NC; and Nathan (Sarah Allard) White of Camp Pendleton, CA.

Her sisters, Jodi Garst of Rockford; Eriel Adams of Gillespie; Danielle Garst of Litchfield; and Alicia Garst of Mt. Olive.

Her granddaughters, Elizabeth O’Toole and Valerie Shaw.

In addition to her husband, Fuzell, Amber was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Donald and Nancy Garst; and maternal grandparents, Joseph Catalano and Patricia Light.

Memorial services for Amber will be held at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Rev. Jon Magnuson of Beacon Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Benld Cemetery in Benld. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
