Stella Knight

Stella Marie Knight, 89, of Litchfield, passed away on Sat., Sept. 28, 2019 at 5:15 a.m. in Heritage Health Therapy & Senior Care in Litchfield.  She was born on July 31, 1930, in Staten Island, NY, a daughter of Carlo Milatto & Maria (Marotto) Santoro.  Stella married Earl Ray Knight on Nov. 22, 1952 in Staten Island, NY.  He preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 1997.  She was an office clerk and worked from an office pool – working in various companies throughout New York City.  She and her husband moved to Litchfield in 1992.  Stella was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield.  She enjoyed camping, cooking, going to movies, & loved traveling to see her grandchildren.  Stella particularly enjoyed working and volunteering her time at Hearts United in Litchfield.   She also volunteered at HSHS St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary.  She is survived by:

1 son,                   Ray E. (Cindy) Knight of Port Trevorton, PA

1 daughter,          Maria D. Knight of Shamokin Dam, PA

Nephew,               Harry Diamond of Litchfield

5 grandchildren,  Rayna (Michael) Smith; Joseph (Emma) Knight; Jennifer Knight – Sanchez; Sarah Knight; Samuel Knight

4 great-grandchildren, Peter; Elias; Lorenzo; & Ivan

Stella was preceded in death by her parents; husband Earl; 2 brothers, Andrew & Patsy Santoro; 2 sisters, Catherine Diamond & Josephine Donnelly.

No memorial services are being held.  The family suggests memorials to Hearts United.
