Raymond Stewart, Jr. Obituary

Raymond Sylvester Stewart, Jr., 82 of Hillsboro, passed away on Thurs., Aug. 1, 2019 at 11:05 a.m. in Montgomery County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.  He was born on May 24, 1937, in Hillsboro, IL, a son of Raymond Sylvester & Jessie Mae (Hamilton) Stewart, Sr.  He graduated from Lincolnwood High School in Raymond.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired after 23 years of service.  Raymond had also worked at Wal-Mart in the meat department.  He married Carmen Fernandez Rodriguez on Feb. 21, 1959 in Madrid, Spain.  She preceded him in death in 2001.  He is survived by:

2 sons,                 Raymond Stewart, III of Hawaii

                              Edward Stewart of West Palm Beach, FL

2 daughters,        Jessie Stewart of West Palm Beach, FL

                              Theresa Raess of Switzerland

2 brothers,           Alex (Rose) Stewart of Litchfield

                              John (Linda) Stewart of Gillespie

1 sister

5 grandchildren,  Levi S. Painter; Travis W. Painter; William Stewart;

Max Stewart, & Lucus Stewart

8 great-grandchildren

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; wife Carmen; and 1 sister.

Private family memorial services for Raymond will be held at a later date.  The family suggests memorials to Montgomery County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Activity Fund.
