Martha I. Cline

Martha Irene Cline, 68, of Litchfield, died Sun., Mar. 18, 2007 at 8:26 a.m. in St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield. She was born on April 25, 1938, in Kannapolis, N.C. She was a daughter of Frank & Gladys Kutter Watsker. After graduating from high school in 1956, she attended St. Joseph Nursing School in Alton. She later worked as a registered nurse at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Holy Family Parish in Litchfield. She was also a member of the social group, Club 15. She loved her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling and working crossword puzzles. She married Arthur D. Cline on Feb. 28, 1960 in St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Alton, IL. He survives. She is also survived by:

2 daughters, Cheryl J. Laurie (companion, Al Baiter) of Wood River

James (Cheri) Elliott of Beaufort, S.C.
16 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Mass will be said Thur., Mar. 22, 2007 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church in Litchfield. Fr. James Neuman will preside. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Litchfield. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. The rosary will be recited by Fr. Ted Schelich, chaplain of St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, at 8:00 p.m.

The family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
