Leonard L. Holden

Leonard LaVern Holden, 83, of Litchfield, died Sun., Nov. 12, 2017 at 4:26 p.m. in Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care in Litchfield. He was born on Sept. 4, 1934, in Litchfield, a son of Amos and Marian (Worrell) Holden. Mr. Holden was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a retired truck driver for BP. In his retirement, he worked at Rural King. He liked helping and talking to the customers at Rural King. Leonard was a member of the Moose Lodge #1634, American Legion Kniery Knagg Post 436 and Teamsters Local #525. He enjoyed caring for his horses and raising a few cattle and hogs. He built their home and barn in the woods and was always working on a project. Leonard and Grace spent many hours visiting friends and family or welcoming them to their home. He traveled throughout the country in his truck driving career often taking his kids with him. He married Grace Reener on Jan. 15, 1965. She survives. He is also survived by:

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Violet Blevins.

Funeral services will be held Sat., Nov. 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Rev. Oley Lawson will officiate. Burial will be in Crabtree Cemetery in rural Litchfield. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to Crabtree Cemetery or Litchfield Veterans' Memorial Garden Fund.
