Larry D. Stockamp

Larry Dean Stockamp, 69, of Dixon, MO, formerly of Litchfield, passed away Thurs., May 24, 2018 at 6:40 a.m. in Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital in Columbia, MO.  Mr. Stockamp was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He was born on Nov. 17, 1948 in Litchfield, IL, a son of Loren William & Sophia Nancy (Kruse) Stockamp.  He graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1967.  He was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield & the VFW.  In his leisure time, Larry enjoyed fishing, farming and raising cattle.  He was both a farmer and construction laborer working out of Laborers Local #840 in Rolla. MO.  He is survived by:

   2 brothers,       David Stockamp of Dixon, MO

                           Delmar Murl (Diane) Stockamp of Columbia, MO

   Sister-in-law,    Jan Stockamp

   Aunts,              Pauline Scott & Martha Weatherford, both of Litchfield;

                           Dena Stockamp of Sorento; Vi Kruse of Mt. Olive;

                           Bernice Kruse of Curran

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Delbert Earl Stockamp; sister-in-law, Catherine JoAnn Stockamp; niece, Brenda Clubine.            

Funeral services will be held Mon., May 28, 2018 at 11 a.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.  Rev. James Tinzmann, of St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Litchfield, will officiate.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield.  Visitation will be held Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service.  The family suggests memorials to Litchfield Veterans’ Memorial Garden Fund.
