Kenneth R. Werner

Kenneth Ray Werner, 72, of Mt. Olive, IL, passed away Mon., Dec. 17, 2018 at 11:59 a.m. in HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.  He was born on Apr. 1, 1946 in Litchfield, IL, a son of Alfred Herman & Marcella Louise (Barto) Werner.  Mr. Werner was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He was self-employed as a recycler – scrapper.  Over the years, he had also worked for Litchfield Grocery and International Paper / CPC Rexel.  Kenneth was a member of American Legion Post #594 in Mt. Olive.  He married Rosemarie Parrish on May 15, 1970 in First Baptist Church in Litchfield.  She survives.  He is also survived by:

   1 brother, James (Ruth Ann) Werner of Wilsonville

   1 sister, Bernice Lowe of Litchfield

   5 grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother Fredrick Werner; 2 sisters, Carolyn Judd and Mary Werner.

Graveside funeral services will be held Fri., Dec. 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.  Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.  Memorials may be directed to The Family of Kenneth R. Werner.
