Kathryn M. "Kitty" Todt

Kathryn Marie “Kitty” Cashen Todt, 89, formerly of Litchfield, passed away Sun., Jan. 28, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. in St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.  She was born on Aug. 11, 1928 in St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, IL, a daughter of Peter James & Kathryn Elizabeth (Flynn) Cashen.  She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School, Litchfield High School and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Springfield, IL.  She married George Langen Todt on Sept. 6, 1947 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Litchfield.  He preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 2003.  After being a stay at home mother, she joined her husband in their family business, Todt & Co. after becoming a licensed insurance agent.  Kathryn was a member of Holy Family Parish in Litchfield and had been active in St. Anne’s Society over the years.  In later years, she also became a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Imperial, MO.  She is survived by:

                Franz J. (Kathy) Todt of Bloomington, IL

                Karl E. (Kathy) Todt of Glenarm, IL

   2 daughters,    Katherine Ann Todt of Springfield, IL

                           Elizabeth J. (Jim) Barlow of Imperial, MO

   7 grandchildren, Tamara L. Todt-Mills; Trevor L. Todt; Daniel A. Todt;

                              Kegan C. Todt; Emily B. Todt; Benjamin T. Barlow;

                              Victoria B. Barlow

   2 great-grandchildren, Cody C. Mills and Chloe N. Mills

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 1 brother, Judge Robert Cashen; 1 sister, Elizabeth Ann Cashen, age 3.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Sat., Feb., 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church in Litchfield.  Fr. Daniel Willenborg will preside.  Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Litchfield.  Visitation will be held Friday from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.  The family prefers masses or memorials to Montgomery County Cancer Association.
