Joyce Ann Jackson

Joyce Ann Jackson, 84, of Litchfield, passed away on Thurs., July 18, 2019 at 2:18 a.m. in Heritage Health Therapy & Senior Care in Litchfield.  She was born on Oct. 12, 1934, in Raymond, IL, a daughter of Dewey A. & Herod Viola (Goodwin) Beatty.  She graduated from Lincolnwood High School.  Joyce married Everett Wesley “Wes” Jackson on Aug. 15, 1953 in Raymond.  He preceded her in death on July 30, 2003.  She was a member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Litchfield.  Joyce worked as a clerk at Kirlins in Litchfield.  In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing cards, shopping, reading, & listening to gospel music.  She especially enjoyed traveling and having her grandchildren together. 

She is survived by:

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wes; 1 daughter, Linda Steinmann; 1 daughter-in-law, Loretta Jackson; 4 brothers, Richard Beatty; Fred Beatty; Lanny Beatty; Norman Goodwin; 1 sister, Ida Lucille Beatty; & infant granddaughter, Alaine Steinmann.

Funeral services will be held Sun., July 21, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.  Pastor Warren Beatty will officiate.  Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Saturday from 4 – 6 p.m. in the funeral home.  The family suggests memorials to Banking on a cure c/o Bank of Hillsboro.
