John Edwin Miller

John Edwin Miller, age 81, husband of 61 years to Dorothy Schuette Miller, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Saint Joseph East Hospital in Lexington, KY. Mr. Miller was born September 19, 1937 in Clark County IL., to the late Rev. Walter and Mary Calvert Miller. Mr. Miller was an Industrial Engineer working at Dresser Industries for thirty plus years. He was a member of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers, a woodworker, made musical instruments, loved to garden, an excellent cook, enjoyed traveling, history, and visiting historical sites. Mr. Miller was of the Lutheran faith attending St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lexington, KY.

Other than his parents, Ed was preceded in death by four sisters, Julia Jester, Mary Ward, Carol Dorf, and Lugenia Miller.

Other than his wife, Ed is survived by two sons, Jack Miller and his wife Debra of Bryan, TX., Michael Miller of Richmond, KY., one grandson, Zachary Miller of Richmond, KY., one brother, Alvin Miller and his wife Martha of Hillsboro, IL., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00AM Monday March 18, 2019 at the Zion Lutheran Church, 1301 N. State St., in Litchfield, IL., with Pastor Fred Kraemer officiating. Burial will follow in the Elm Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery at 139 Yaeger Lake Trail in Litchfield, IL., under the direction of Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield, IL.  Visitation will be 2:00PM-5:00PM Saturday March 16, 2019 at Davis & Powell Funeral Home in Berea, KY. www.davisandpowellfuneralhome.com
