Jo Ann (Striplin) Crawford

Jo Ann “Jody” Crawford, 78, of St. Charles, MO., formerly of Litchfield, passed away Friday evening at 8:25p.m. at the St. Charles NHC in St. Charles, MO.

Born in Litchfield. A daughter of Fred Beecher and Ruth Ione (Williams) Striplin.  She attended Litchfield Community High School. Jo Ann married Ronnie Dean Crawford on April 12, 1958 at Pleasant Hill Christian Church in rural Raymond and he survives.  Jo Ann worked as a bookkeeper for St. Charles Anesthesiology Group for 20 years.  She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, focused on her family. She was a member of the Christview Christian Church of St. Charles, MO.

In addition to her husband Ronnie, Jo Ann is survived by:

2 sons; Larry (Patti) Crawford of Dallas, TX

              Lonnie (Lori) Crawford of St. Charles, MO

1 daughter; Susan (Charles) Cross of St. Charles, MO

1 sister; Judith A. Holmes of Polo, MO

5 grandchildren; Jessica (Brian) Bendig, Joshua (Brooke) Crawford, Anna Crawford, Lisa (Steve) Kannewurf, and Shawn Crawford. 

And 2 great grandchildren

Jo Ann is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Fred and Russell Striplin.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend.  A funeral procession line-up will be organized at 10:30 a.m. at the Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield to proceed to the cemetery.  The Rev. David Ziegenbein, pastor of the Pleasant Hill Christian Church will officiate.  There will be no visitation.  The Family suggests memorials to the Litchfield Food Pantry or Pleasant Hill Christian Church.
