Janice Sielschott

Janice E. Sielschott, 76, of Litchfield, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 at Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro, IL. Born May 5, 1941 in Toledo, IL. She was a daughter of Lloyd Harlan and Alma Jane (Olmstead) Roberts. She was a graduate of Litchfield Community High School, Class of 1959. Janice married William Earl Sielschott on April 21, 1962 at the First Baptist Church in Litchfield. Mrs. Sielschott was employed by Dr. Rudolph Sommer for 35 years. She was a medical office assistant and responsible for various duties assisting Dr. Sommer.

Mrs. Sielschott was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Litchfield. She was a member of the church choir, taught Sunday school for several years in the primary department and nursery attendant. Janice enjoyed cooking and did so for the volunteer construction crews during various construction phases of the First Baptist Church building projects. She also enjoyed reading and doing cross stitching, playing the piano and singing. Janice and her husband William enjoyed spending winter months in South Padre Island, TX and Tucson, AZ.

In addition to her husband William, Mrs. Sielschott is survived by;

A son, William L. (Gina) Sielschott of Litchfield

A daughter, Nell (Michael) Pingleton of Champaign, IL

A sister, Peggy Aikman of Litchfield

6 grandchildren; James and Michael Reimer, Alexis Sielschott, Ember (Jeff) Cranstoun, Ann

Rivera and Molly Pingleton.

2 great grandsons; Phillip and Clayton Cranstoun.

Mrs. Sielschott is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Sielschott will be conducted Tuesday, November 14 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Litchfield. The Rev. Jason Plumer will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call Monday evening from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.
