Helen Millburg

Helen Marie Millburg, 89, of Litchfield, passed away Thurs., Oct. 18, 2018 at 1:57 p.m. in Heritage Health Therapy & Senior Care in Litchfield.  Born in her grandparents home in Litchfield on Apr. 28, 1929, the daughter of Josh & Esther E. (Deming) White.  Helen assisted her husband Cecil in downtown Litchfield for many years; first as he managed Barenholtz Exchange from 1963-1978, and later as co-owner of Millburg Furniture from 1978-1990.  She was a life-long member of First Baptist Church in Litchfield.  Helen was an excellent cook & enjoyed entertaining her family and close friends.  She was a volunteer for the Litchfield Food Pantry & served on the kitchen committee for First Baptist Church.  She married Cecil Joseph Millburg on Sept. 6, 1947, in the rectory of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Litchfield.  Cecil preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 2015. She is survived by:

2 great-granddaughters, Ny’omi Hill of Loveland, OH

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 2 brothers, William & Carl White; Infant sister Rose Marie White.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Mon., Oct. 22, 2018 in First Baptist Church in Litchfield.  Rev. Gary Schwab of First Presbyterian Church will officiate.  Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.  Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.  The family suggests memorials to Coats for Kids, or Litchfield Food Pantry.
