Frank J. Komor, Jr.

Frank Joseph Komor, Jr., 62, of Litchfield, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 2:05 p.m. at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, MO.

Born in Litchfield, April 19, 1955, A son of Frank C. and Sophie Ann (Lasko) Komor, Sr.  He graduated from Litchfield Community High School Class of 1973.  Frank was South Litchfield Township Road Commissioner for 25 years.  He has been self employed for several years and with his own trucking company since 2004. Frank was a former Montgomery County Board member, representing South Litchfield District #5.  He was a member of the Midwest Truckers Assn. and had a passion for Classic sports cars, especially Chevrolet Chevelle SS’s. He also enjoyed racing. 

Frank married the former Janet Marie Wagahoff on November 11, 1978 at St. Raymond’s Catholic Church and she survives.

In addition to his wife Janet, Frank is survived by:

2 sons; Steve (Shannah) Komor of Litchfield, Frank (Teresa) Komor, III of Litchfield

a daughter; Jennifer (Mark) Epps of Raymond, IL

2 brothers; James (Mary Ann) Komor of Litchfield and Robert (Vicki) Komor of Litchfield

5 sisters; Shirley (Joseph) Arnott of Alexandria, VA, Patricia (Harry) Weller of Litchfield, Rose Marie Komor of Litchfield, Nancy (Rick) Striplin of Bremen, KY and Mary Theresa (Jim) Lindsey of Litchfield.

7 grandchildren: Austin and Allison Marburger, Jaylen Komor, Jordan, Ian and Loraine Epps and Jakkob Brown.

Mr. Komor is preceded in death by his Parents.

Funeral services for Mr. Komor will be conducted Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. The Rev. Cynthia Munker, pastor of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Crabtree Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday evening form 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Family of Frank J. Komor, Jr.  C/O Janet M. Komor.
