Evelyn Carolyne Bauerle

Evelyn Carolyne Bauerle, 92, of Litchfield, formerly of rural Irving, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 8:12 a.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital. 

Born February 6, 1926 in Plant City, FL., a daughter of Claude and Nellie (Sparks) Pearson. She married Eugene Merle Bauerle on Nov. 2, 1946 in Hillsboro, IL.  Mr. Bauerle passed away on October 21, 1988. 

Mrs. Bauerle worked for several years at Roller Derby Skate Corp. and Dollar General in Litchfield. Mrs. Bauerle and her husband farmed for several years in Rural Irving and enjoyed hosting large family dinners at the farm home.  She was a faithful member of the Christian Church of Litchfield, and enjoyed playing the piano for entertainment.

Surviving are:  Her son, Larry (Gaye) Bauerle of Litchfield, IL

A sister; Donna (John) Langley of Mt. Vernon, IL

5 Grandchildren:  Sandra (Scott) Schluckebier of Donnellson, IL

Shaun (Dr. Stephanie) Bauerle of Ballwin, MO

Rhonda (Martin) Moore of Edwardsville, IL 

Angela (Jim) Komor of Litchfield

Misty Hokenson of Litchfield

8 great grandchildren:  Elizabeth Bauerle, Zachary and Joshua Belt, Ryan, Alex and Trace Komor, Mikey Taylor and Keyson Hokenson.

Brother-in-law; Bill DeLuka

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Bauerle is preceded in death by her brothers; Glen and Claude Pearson and a sister, Judy DeLuka.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Bauerle will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. The Rev’s. Skyler Elmer and Steve Revisky, pastor and retired pastor respectively, of the Christian Church of Litchfield will officiate.  Burial will be in the Crabtree Cemetery in South Litchfield Township.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.  The family suggests memorials to the Christian Church of Litchfield.
