Elsie Lorraine Budd

Elsie Lorraine Budd, 90, of Litchfield, passed away on Sat., May 11, 2019 at 8:37 p.m. in Evergreen Place in Litchfield.  She was born on Apr. 26, 1929, in Taylorville, IL, a daughter of George Taylor & Goldie Edith (Disney) Ealey.  She married Alfred Richard Budd, Jr. on Nov. 18, 1943 in Springfield.  He preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 2003.  Elsie began her working career at F.W. Means Clean Towel Service.  She was also a Certified Nurses Aid at St. Francis Hospital and a Home Health caregiver for Care Inn (Litchfield Healthcare Center).  Elsie was a member of the Christian Church of Litchfield, where she volunteered her time for several church functions.  She enjoyed gardening and doing yard work.  She was an avid Cardinal’s fan and loved spending time with her family.  She is survived by:

2 daughters,          Diana (David) Parsons of Litchfield

1 sister,                 Eileen (Terry) Callerman of Girard

1 son-in-law,          Eugene Perrine of Vicksburg, MS

23 great-grandchildren

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alfred; 1 son, John Budd; 1 daughter, Linda Perrine; 4 brothers, Dale, Charles, Bill, & Lester Ealey; 4 sisters, Helen Parks; Martha Jane Befort; Bernice Bottoms & infant sister, Charlotte.         

Funeral services will be held on Thurs., May 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Christian Church of Litchfield.  Pastor Skyler Elmer will officiate.  Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.  Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4 – 7 p.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.  The family suggests memorials to Montgomery County Cancer Association or American Heart Association.
