Charles Hartpence

Charles Hartpence, 77, of Benld, passed away on Tues., Nov. 12, 2019 at 10:27 a.m. in HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.  He was born on Oct. 15, 1942, in Minneapolis, MN, a son of John & Eleanor (Olson) Hartpence.  After graduating college with a business degree, Mr. Hartpence was a meat salesman for Kretchmar Hams for 25 years.  He later became self-employed as the owner of Triple C Mobile Washing & Cleaning.  Charles was also a licensed pilot.  He married the former Carol Lee Smith; she preceded him in death in 2005.  Charles was a nationally ranked flat track motorcycle racer and enjoyed water skiing, hang gliding, parasailing & doing woodworking in his shop.  He is survived by:

1 son,         Chris (Deanna) Hartpence of Benld

3 sisters,    Lynelle Brown; Silvia Morrison; Eunice Hartpence

5 grandchildren,  McKenzie; Kamron; Keegan; Kullen; & Zachary.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Bill & Joe Hartpence.
