Beverly I. Hartke

Beverly Ione Hartke, 79, of Litchfield, passed away Tues., Apr. 23, 2019 at 8:20 a.m. in HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.  She was born on Aug. 27, 1939 in Pana, IL, the daughter of Ralph & Zelma (Masters) Schneider.  Beverly was a member of Union Avenue Christian Church in Litchfield.  She had worked for The State of Illinois at Graham Correctional Center in Hillsboro as an Accountant for many years.  In her leisure time, she enjoyed quilting, traveling and volunteering her time in community service.  She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by:

   2 daughters,        Debra A. (Kenneth) Claytor of Sugar Land, TX

                               Karla M. (Bill) Smith of Litchfield

   3 brothers,           Glenn (Sherry) Schneider of Pana

                               George (Toni) Schneider of Akron, OH

                               Jay (Karen) Schneider of Rosamond

   6 grandchildren,  Michael Arnold; Austin & Kelli Claytor; Ann Stucker;

                               Samantha and Daniel Coatney.

   3 great-grandchildren, Greyson, Lilly and Colt Stucker

   Several nieces and nephews that she loved as much as her own grandchildren

   Former son-in-law, Tom Coatney

She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 daughter, Pamela Coatney; 2 nieces, Laura Schneider Hile & Kayla Schneider.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.  Pastor Roy Eller, of New Hope Baptist Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery in Litchfield.  Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.  The family suggests memorials to Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis or Shriners Hospitals For Children - mailing address : Office of Development - Shriners Hospitals for Children, 4400 Clayton Avenue, St. Louis, MO, 63110.  (Please make checks payable to Shriners Hospitals for Children.)
