Bernard Kaufman

Bernard Vincent Kaufman, 84, of Litchfield, passed away on Sat., Dec. 8, 2018 at 9:03 p.m. in Carlinville Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.  He was born on June 10, 1934 in Carlinville, IL, a son of Bernard Edward & Rosalie Margaret (Schwab) Kaufman.  Bernard was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He was a follower of Catholic faith.  He was employed as a professional truck driver for Buske Lines.  Bernard enjoyed working on cars & motorcycles, going to car shows and showing his pickup truck & volunteering his time for meals on wheels.  Bernard is survived by:

1 daughter,   Melissa Kaufman (companion Richard Horner) of Marine, IL

1 brother,      Richard (Diane) Kaufman of Denver, CO

1 sister,         Margaret Fritts of Litchfield

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held on Fri., Dec. 14, 2018 at 1 p.m. in Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.  Interment will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.  No visitation will be held.  The family suggests memorials to Litchfield Veteran’s Memorial Garden.
