Bernadine Flynn

Lola Bernadine Flynn, 96, of Hillsboro, formerly of Litchfield and Raymond, passed away Thurs., Sept. 27, 2018 at 4:55 p.m. in Montgomery Nursing & Rehab Center in Taylor Springs.  She was born on Nov. 23, 1921 in Litchfield, IL, the daughter of Artimus Ward & Iola (Despain) Gregg.  She married John Howard Flynn in Aug. 12, 1941.  He preceded her in death in Jan. 1964.  She was employed by the State of Illinois as a Claims Supervisor for the Department of Employment Security for 26 ½ years.  She is survived by:

   1 son,              Harold (Mary) Flynn of Raymond

   1 daughter,      Linda (Kenneth) Plegge of Moro  

   9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 sons, Howard “Rick” Flynn & John Flynn, and 3 sisters; Naomi Spahnle, Beulah Bain and Neva Cappo.

Graveside memorial services will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.  Rev. Gary Schwab, of First Presbyterian Church in Litchfield, will officiate. There will be no visitation. The family suggests memorials to Alzheimer’s Assn. or the Litchfield Volunteer Fire Dept.
