Norman W. Rull

Norman Warner Rull, 85, of Litchfield died Thurs., Jan. 12, 2012 at 7:05 p.m. in St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield. He was born on June 11, 1926 in Litchfield on the family farm, a son of Warner John & Ida Minnie (Niehaus) Rull. Mr. Rull was proud of his service in the U.S. Army & served during the Korean War from 1950 – 1952 attaining the rank of Sergeant. He graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1944. He was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Litchfield. He lived & farmed on the family farm in Macoupin County all of his life. He was active in the Macoupin County Farm Bureau, Litchfield Moose, Litchfield Country Club & served as a board member of The First National Bank in Litchfield. He was an avid golfer, hunter & bowler & was proud of bowling a perfect 300 score in Bethalto, IL in 1954. He married Shirley Jean Small on Nov. 15, 1953 in St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Litchfield. She survives. They were married for 58 years. He is also survived by:

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Arlene Schwarz & Verna Beanblossom; brother-in-law, Robert Schwarz.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held Mon., Jan. 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Litchfield. Rev. Ryan Ritzmann will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olive City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 until 8 in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.
