Vera Caroline Morrison, 97, of Litchfield, died Tues., Aug. 3, 2010
at 7:23 a.m. in Heritage Manor in Litchfield. She was born on May 28, 1913 in Ohlman, IL, a daughter of Charles & Carrie (Knecht) Zimmerman. She graduated from Nokomis High School with the Class of 1931. She married Carol Daniel “Shorty” Morrison on June 3, 1948 in Vandalia. He preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1989. She was a member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Litchfield. Mrs. Morrison worked as a sales clerk at J.J. Newberry Dept. Store in Litchfield. She is survived by:

1 son, Charles W. Morrison of Pana
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 brother, Arthur C. Zimmerman; 1 sister, Elda Zimmerman.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held Thurs., Aug. 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Rev. James Tinzmann, pastor of St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Litchfield, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
