Paul A. Barrero

Paul Anthony Barrero, 78, of Litchfield, died Wed., Jan. 4, 2012 at 11:55 p.m. in his home in Litchfield. He was born on Oct. 29, 1933 in Long Island, NY, the son of Anthony & Grace (Winnberg) Barrero. Mr. Barrero was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps & served during the Korean War. He married Sharon Anderson in 1960 in New York. She preceded him in death in 1998 after 38 years of marriage. He worked for many years as an Executive Chef with the Radisson Hotel chain with his primary concentration being in food service in the New York & Miami areas. He retired at age 55 and worked as a union laborer with Local 517 in Orlando, FL for 12 years before retiring a second time in 2000. He had a passion for flying and favored the Cessna for his stunt performances. In earlier years, he devoted time to coaching Little League. He is survived by:

He was preceded in death by his parents & wife.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is in charge of arrangements.
