John Bazzle Duff, 82, of Hillsboro, died Thurs., May 6, 2010 at 6:27 a.m. in St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield. He was born on Jan. 25, 1928 in Raymond Twp, a son of Ellis Edwin & Muriel Bell (Norvell) Duff. He married Emma Marie Hennings on Nov. 30, 1949 in Litchfield. He was a self-employed farmer all of his life & retired in 1982. He had previously been a driver for Coca-Cola & Ryder Transport and had also worked at REA Electric Cooperative. He attended Pleasant Hill Christian Church in rural Raymond. Over the years he lived in Waggoner, then moved to Irving in 1975, then to Greenville in 1980, Butler in 1987 and Hillsboro in 2003. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 daughter, Brenda Duff; 2 brothers, Edwin & Charles Duff; 3 sisters, Lorraine Fritzsche, Ramona Meyers & Vernetta Friend; 3 grandchildren, Jessica Cray, Kurt & Heidi Oltmann; 1 great-grandson, Jay Duff.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held Sun., May 9, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Rev. David Ziegenbein, pastor of Pleasant Hill Christian Church in rural Raymond, will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time in the funeral home.
