Harold Lee Fleming, 85, of Litchfield, died Mon., Dec. 12, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. in his home. He was born on Dec. 24, 1925 in Litchfield, a son of Francis Lee & Mayme Gladys (Jones) Fleming. He graduated from Litchfield Community High School in 1944. Mr. Fleming was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII & was stationed in the South Pacific. He was employed by Brown Shoe Co. in Litchfield & then worked at Swift/Hunter Packing Co. as a Sales Representative for over 30 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where he served as an usher, American Legion Post #436, the Elk’s Club, all in Litchfield & Litchfield Country Club. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing golf, bowling, was an avid Cardinals Baseball fan & overall sports enthusiast as well. Over the years, he served 7 times as a Pinkerton Guard in the Masters Golf Tournament. He married Loann G. Marburger on May 1, 1948 in Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. She survives. He is also survived by: 2 daughters, Jane (Mark) Leitschuh of Troy Funeral InformationFuneral services will be held Fri., Dec. 16, 2011 at 11 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Rev. Jonathan Bontke will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. Visitation will be held Thursday from 3 until 7 p.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Donations Information
