Delbert Leroy Brown, “Brownie” 84, of Osage Beach, MO, died Fri., Aug. 20, 2010 at 10:20 a.m. at Lakeside Meadows in Osage Beach, Missouri. He was born Mar. 7, 1926 in Farmersville, IL, the son of Charles Henry & Frances Ann (Fuchs) Brown. Mr. Brown was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as Sailor 1st Class. He married Eleanor Anne Brown on Dec. 5, 1945 in Witt, IL. She preceded him in death on Jan. 8, 2008. During his earlier years, he was employed by R.B. Evans and R.D. Lawrence as a union carpenter. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Lake Ozark, MO, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Springfield, IL. & also was very active in the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by:

1 sister
Several nieces & nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife & an infant son, Michael Brown.

Funeral Information

Memorial services will be held Sat., Aug. 28, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Fr. Ted Schelich, chaplain of St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, will officiate. Inurnment will be in St. Barbara’s Cemetery in Witt. Visitation will be held Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until service time in the funeral home.
