Jody L. Brubaker

Jocelyn Lee “Jody” Brubaker, 82, of Litchfield, died Fri., Aug. 6, 2010 at 7:45 a.m. in St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield. She was born Oct. 25, 1927 in Litchfield, a daughter of Rexford Lee & Lois (Cartwright) Gilly. She was a member of Union Avenue Christian Church in Litchfield. In her earlier years she was a member of St. Francis Hospital Auxilary, a Cub Scout den mother and enjoyed golf and reintroducing native spring wildflowers to the family’s rural property. She was an accomplished quilter and shared her talent by making quilts for the Linus Quilt Project that provides quilts for ill or traumatized children. She married Clyde M. Brubaker II on May 10, 1946 in St. Charles, MO. He survives. She is also survived by:

1 son, Clyde M. (Cathy) Brubaker III of Litchfield
1 daughter, Janet L. (Robert) Mathis of Seattle, WA
1 sister, Nancy (Michael) Funk of Litchfield
7 grandchildren, Jackson & Thomas Brubaker;
Katie, Allison, Natalie, Jamie & Isabella Mathis.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Information

Private family funeral services will be held. Rev. Tracy Siegman, associate minister of Union Avenue Christian Church in Litchfield, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. There will be no visitation.
